The company continues on its commitment to tackle hunger June 4 - 8
TORONTO, May 31, 2012 /CNW/ - In celebration of its 10th Purolator Tackle Hunger season, Canada's leading integrated freight and parcel solutions provider is launching a company-wide effort where teammates, partners and customers will work together to collect food and funds for local food banks across Canada.
Dubbed "Purolator Tackle Hunger Week", the event will take place the week of June 4 to 8.
This year, Purolator customers visiting its network of 130 Shipping Centres will also be invited to donate to their local food banks. All of Purolator's Shipping Centre locations across Canada will have designated collection bins where customers can donate their non-perishable food items.
Customers can also donate by visiting one of Warehouse One's 115 retail stores across Canada.
This year's Purolator Tackle Hunger Week goal is to raise the equivalent of 450,000 pounds of food, a 30 per cent increase over last year's incredible result. All donations remain in the communities where they are raised.
