MONTREAL, Aug. 7, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - PURVODKA, The first ultra-premium vodka made entirely in Quebec and Canada's most highly awarded vodka has just won a silver medal at the prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) held last week in London, England.
Established in 1969, this independent competition received product entries from over 90 countries this year alone, including almost 100 vodkas. Specializing in the spirits industry, double blind tastings combined with many influential personalities were selected as acting judges for this year's competition. Available in most SAQ's (Société des alcools du Québec) since 2010, PURVODKA has been awarded immediate international recognition, winning 17 medals since its debut in the world's most prestigious competitions held in London, New York, Chicago and San Francisco.
This new award confirms once again PURVODKA's place within the world's best vodkas. PURVODKA will be initiating its Canada wide launch this fall in the provinces of Ontario, Alberta and British-Columbia.
