Good Foot Delivery awareness and fundraising campaign kicks off TODAY Be a part of something #exceptional
TORONTO, Sept. 23, 2013 /CNW/ - Good Foot, an organization that provides employment opportunities to individuals with developmental disabilities marks the first day of its awareness and fundraising campaign today. Good Foot offers a courier service on foot or via public transit to local businesses and residents in the Greater Toronto Area. A not-for-profit and registered charity, Good Foot's business is supported by the generous contributions of its sponsors and businesses that use its courier service.

2013 marked a year of great accomplishments for Good Foot, the communities in which it operates and its employees. The 2012 fundraising efforts resulted in the:
"It's a great feeling coming into work and knowing your business is growing and making a difference," said Jon Gauthier, Co-Founder, Good Foot. "This year we increased sales by 55 per cent and improved courier wages by 49 per cent."
Good Foot's vision is to provide those with developmental disabilities an opportunity for financial independence, self-direction and responsibility. Additionally, Good Foot offers the community a superior delivery service on foot or by public transit.
"I was at the Bocce Ball Tournament in support of Good Foot this summer and it was wonderful to see everyone come together; from employees, to sponsors and the surrounding community in Toronto," said Mike Zwarts Courier, Good Foot. "It was a bright and sunny day and Good Foot raised $4,100; I am so proud of my Good Foot team."

With this year's campaign Good Foots plans to:
Throughout the 30-day campaign Good Foot will be hitting the local streets of downtown Toronto spreading the word about the importance of generating sustainable, financial independence for people with developmental disabilities. They will also talk about the services Good Foot provides and the many ways people can help raise funds to help grow the business. The campaign is not limited to Torontonians, anyone can contribute to Good Foot's mission.
The goal of the campaign is to raise $50,000 and will target support from support from both local organizations and individuals.
