PwC Federal Budget instant reaction: Small and medium sized businesses can
benefit from new Government innovation and technology program
TORONTO, March 4 /CNW/ - PwC tax specialists commented today:
Innovation by small businesses is an important part of the Canadian economy, employing five million people, which is roughly half of the Canadian workforce. These companies generally lack capital to promote their innovative technologies. As a result, the Federal Government brought forward new actions to support this group, including a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Innovation Commercialization Program, a two year pilot to adopt new technologies for commercial enhancement.
A PwC Budget Flash with additional Budget highlights has been issued today followed by a detailed Budget Memo later this evening. For more information and detailed commentary on the Budget please contact, Kiran Chauhan, [email protected], 416-947-8983 or visit www.pwc.com/ca/budget.
