QCGN seeks young leaders for leadership project
The group of 12 young leaders, who will be selected from eight regions across
The QCGN Youth Project, in collaboration with the Department of Canadian Heritage, aims to develop and enhance the leadership skills of 132 youth. The 12 leaders will work together to develop a custom workshop to teach community development and leadership skills to their peers. Among other issues, workshops will explore the issues of a sense of belonging, pride and identity of young Quebecers in their language minority communities.
The 12 young leaders will be coached by a Project Manager for the preparation of the workshop series. Each leader will then be required to deliver one workshop to ten youths in their region. The leadership training workshops are expected to take place early in 2010.
