Quebec Federation of Home and School Associations expresses exasperation with
Bill 103
MONTREAL, June 12 /CNW Telbec/ - QFHSA is deeply concerned that the Government of Quebec ignored the call of our membership through our resolution 2010-01 Wider Access to English Education re: Bill 104. Bill 103 continues to limit access to education in English, ultimately infringing upon the parental rights of all Quebecers.
QFHSA is equally troubled that Bill 103 empowers bureaucrats to interpret the law subjectively. It is the inalienable right of parents to choose the language of instruction for their children without being subjected to the difficulties and frustrations of dealing with bureaucratically applied regulations in determining the authentic educational pathway of students.
QFHSA strongly believes that a democratic society should seek to expand on rights, never to diminish them.
