Québec National Parks Day - Free access to all the benefits of the great outdoors
QUÉBEC CITY, Sept. 4, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Access to each of the 24 Sépaq national parks will be offered absolutely free of charge on Saturday, September 8 for the traditional Québec National Parks Day.
"The benefits of outdoor activities on physical and psychological health have been widely demonstrated. This ninth edition of National Parks Day will be the perfect moment to discover or rediscover breathtaking natural spaces which are also exceptional playgrounds," said Sépaq Vice‑President, National Parks Operations, Catherine Grenier.
As is the case every year, Sépaq establishment teams are preparing a distinct and festive program for this very special day. Hiking and biking trails and a vast array of water activities (canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and more) will be open to all those who want to disconnect from everyday life and connect with nature. Depending on the location, local artisans will also join the party by showcasing their products.
Everyone who takes advantage of this day to visit one of these natural treasures will receive a pass so that they can return to the national park of their choice this fall without paying a penny. We would remind you that young folk 17 years and under are always admitted free of charge to Québec national parks.
A visit to a national park is synonymous with health and well-being. It's also an opportunity to spend quality time with family or friends and to get closer to those we love. And a visit can usher in a whole new passion for the great outdoors!
