MONTRÉAL, Aug. 16, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - As the official presenter of La Fête de la Musique de Tremblant, Quebecor is pleased to be part of the festivities for the 8th consecutive year. For this year's edition of the music fest, to be held from September 2 to 5, the line-up assembled by Angèle Dubeau will feature some 30 concerts covering the gamut from classical to jazz to world music. At the Grande scène Québecor stage, headliners will include Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy in addition to Angèle Dubeau accompanied by her orchestra La Pietà and distinguished guests such as Shawn Phillips.

La Fête de la Musique de Tremblant aims to bring people together in a vibrant atmosphere. This year, in keeping with that goal, Quebecor will provide festivalgoers with an area where young and old can relax and try their hand at playing a concert piano.
The space, dubbed Le Piano public Québecor, will be located at the centre of the festival grounds and open to all at the following times:
- Saturday and Sunday, September 3 and 4, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Monday, September 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On the afternoon of September 3 and 4. prominent musician/composer François Dompierre will lead workshops at Le Piano public Québecor in which he will share his love of music and explain the ins-and-outs of musical creation. A well-known composer whose career has spanned more than 50 years, Dompierre has composed the scores for more than 60 films by directors such as Denys Arcand, Michel Brault, Jacques Godbout, André Melançon, Jean Beaudin and Léa Pool.
