TORONTO, Nov. 25, 2015 /CNW/ - On November 28, the 29th annual Children's Aid Foundation Gala -Teddy Bear Affair returns to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to celebrate the potential of the city's most vulnerable children with a spectacular evening of inspiring stories, fine food, entertainment and auctions. Amazing Race Canada host and Olympic gold medalist Jon Montgomery will emcee the evening and the talented Victor Barry, chef/owner of Splendido, will oversee the creation of a decadent menu for more than 850 guests to enjoy. With a focus on illuminating the potential of children and youth involved with the child welfare system, one of the gala's highlights will be a dramatic opening performance by former youth in care, accompanied by the VIVA! Youth Singers. Sponsored by CGI and CIBC, proceeds from the gala will go towards improving the lives of children and youth living in the child welfare system.
The Children's Aid Foundation Gala - Teddy Bear Affair is one of Toronto's longest running black-tie galas, attended by prominent members of the city's business and philanthropic communities. Over $25 million has been raised since the event's premier, with proceeds going to fund life-changing initiatives for the Greater Toronto Area's most vulnerable young people.
