/R E P E A T -- A-Bonaventure: 2014 Worksite Mobilization - two lanes / direction until December/

LONGUEUIL, QC, June 9, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) would like to advise road users of different complete closures at night on A-Bonaventure during the next days, to mobilize the 2014 rehabilitation worksite.

Long term configuration: as of Tuesday, June 10 in the morning, two lanes out of three will be open on the A-Bonaventure towards the Champlain Bridge and as of Thursday, June 12, two lanes out of three will be open towards downtown Montréal.

This two lanes per direction configuration, instead of three, will be in place until December.

• As of Tuesday, June 10 at 6 a.m. > two lanes open out of three.

A-Bonaventure > towards downtown Montréal

• As of Thursday, June 12 at 6 a.m. > two lanes open out of three.

This important worksite is part of the rehabilitation program of the federal section of the Bonaventure Expressway, which started in 2010 and allows for the annual refurbishment of one of the raised sections of this stretch of the expressway.

The City of Montreal has also started work on the section of the expressway located on the other side of the Lachine Canal. These are two separate rehabilitation projects.

• 8 p.m. to midnight > one lane open;

• 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. > one lane open;
• 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. > access ramp from Nazareth St. closed.

• Towards the Champlain Bridge > via Wellington > Bridge > Carrie-Derrick Streets.
• Towards downtown > via > Mills > de la commune > McGill Streets.
