BELLE RIVER, ON, Feb. 17, 2017 /CNW/ - Representatives of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) will welcome MPP Taras Natyshak and members of the public to a community meeting to discuss making Belle River's ServiceOntario office – previously privately run and currently closed – a publicly operated centre.

"This is the second time this office has changed hands in the last four years," noted Len Elliott, OPSEU Region 1 Vice-President. "It's been closed for weeks now. Residents have to drive 30 minutes or more to Windsor to access public services."
"It's time to give the people of Belle River easy, dependable access to a new health card, a new driver's licence, and the full slate of public services delivered by dedicated professionals," said OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas. "They pay taxes, just as any other resident in Ontario. They deserve public services where they live, too. Make this ServiceOntario centre public."
