/R E P E A T -- Bonaventure Expressway: Major maintenance work in 2010 -
Major work from the end of June to the end of October at Exit 2/
LONGUEUIL, QC, June 17 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) wishes to announce major maintenance work on the Bonaventure Expressway from the end of June to the end of October. Note that the Bonaventure Expressway was built in 1966, and that a major facelift is today required.
The rehabilitation work of the deck, piers, concrete beams, the replacement of the roadway expansion joints and the pavement will begin on Sunday, June 20 on the Bonaventure Expressway, in the Pierre-Dupuy Avenue sector (Exit 2 on the Bonaventure Expressway). The work will require several partial and complete closures of the Bonaventure Expressway at Exit 2, at night during the week and on week-ends, until the end of October.
The first required closures will take place according to the following schedule:
- Sunday, June 20, 10:00 PM to Monday, June 21, 6:00 AM: Complete closure of the Bonaventure Expressway going west (downtown Montreal) at Exit 2 (Scenario B - See below); - Monday, June 21, 10:00 PM to Tuesday, June 22, 6:00 AM : Complete closure of the Bonaventure Expressway going east (Champlain Bridge) at Exit 2 (Scenario A - See below); - Tuesday, June 22, 10:00 PM to Wednesday, June 23, 6:00 AM : Complete closure of the Bonaventure Expressway going west (downtown Montreal) at Exit 2 (Scenario B - See below); - Thursday, June 24, 10:00 PM to Friday, June 25, 6:00 AM : Complete closure of the Bonaventure Expressway going east (Champlain Bridge) at Exit 2 (Scenario A - See below);
Detour roads have been planned for the traffic in the work area. Please consult our map (http://bit.ly/bplZzT) for the different closing scenarios.

Scenario A: ----------- Complete closure of the Bonaventure Expressway going east (Champlain Bridge) at Exit 2 including: 1. Closing of the Wellington St. on ramp 2. Complete closure of Pierre-Dupuy Ave. under the Bonaventure Expressway 3. Closing of one of two lanes on Pierre-Dupuy Ave. going south and on Des Irlandais Street going north Scenario B: ----------- Complete closure of the Bonaventure Expressway going west (Downtown Montreal) at Exit 2 including: 1. Closing of the Mill St. onramp (east side) 2. Complete closure of Pierre-Dupuy Ave. under the Bonaventure Expressway 3. Closing of one of two lanes on Pierre-Dupuy Ave. going south and on Des Irlandais Street going north Scenario C : ------------ Complete closure of the Bonaventure Expressway going east (Champlain Bridge) and west (Downtown Montreal) at Exit 2 including: 1. Closing of the Wellington St. on ramp 2. Complete closure of Pierre-Dupuy Ave. under the Bonaventure Expressway 3. Closing of one of two lanes on Pierre-Dupuy Ave. going south and on Des Irlandais Street going north
