TORONTO, July 12, 2017 /CNW/ - Canada's Vape Expo is returning to Toronto, July 22nd - 23rd at the International Centre and is trending to be the biggest event of its kind in Canada!
Established in 2015 by founding partners Dashvapes.com and Vapemeet.ca, the show has become a staple in vaping communities across Canada. In addition to past shows in Toronto, CVE has held exhibitions in Montreal, Ottawa & Edmonton.
The growth of the Canadian Vaping industry has surpassed expectations. What was once considered a "home based business" has evolved into a world-class industry with voluntary standards that are equal to those found in manufacturing sectors. The Toronto event has drawn the attention from companies around the world. In addition to the 100+ Canadian small businesses participating, exhibitors in attendance will include brands from Asia, Europe, and the United States. Consumer attendance is expected to surpass 10k this year, as 2016-2017 has seen a steady increase of former smokers choosing vaping over traditional combustible cigarettes.
Event spokesperson Charlie Pisano says "The team at CVE is excited and proud to bring the show back to Toronto. We have introduced milestone regulations for all of our exhibitors in Ottawa and Edmonton this past year, tackling the issues of intellectual property infringement and any advertisements that may be construed as targeting youth. Our primary objective has always been to represent and showcase those members of the Canadian Vaping Industry that operate their businesses in a law-abiding and ethical way, and this year in Toronto you will see that it is possible to be successful and responsible!"
The Canadian industry is at a crucial time with proposed legislation (Bill S5) which recently completed first reading in the House, with an intent to finalize and pass legislation before the end of 2017. The CVE board has been vocal in advocating for proper and fair regulations not only as a company but personally as well. Advocacy is an essential component of each event. In attendance for Toronto will be the three biggest organizations in the industry: The Canadian Vaping Association, The Electronic Cigarette Trade Association, and Tobacco Harm Reduction Association. All three have presented at government hearings advocating to ensure that vaping will be regulated fairly to not only preserve the growth of the industry but also to provide consumers with fair access to safe vaping products.
To encourage more smokers to stop smoking by using vapour technology, CVE is continuing their "Stomp Your Butts" initiative by offering current smokers a starter kit in exchange for abandoning a pack of cigarettes.
The event is open to all those ages 19 and up that are interested in vaping or exploring it as a choice for themselves.
