Saskatchewan Health Minister, MLAs and staff in Legislature skin cancer
screening and awareness event May 4, 2010/
REGINA, April 30 /CNW/ - Saskatchewan's Minister of Health, Don McMorris, MLAs and staff at the Legislative Assembly in Regina will have their skin checked for skin cancer at a screening and awareness event on May 4, 2010.
Organized by the Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA), the event aims to make people aware of the early signs of skin cancer, a disease that is clearly visible on the skin. The cure rate for skin cancer found at an early stage is between 90 and 95%.
Minister McMorris and Dr. Roberta McKay, regional director of the CDA's Sun Awareness Program, will jointly host a media briefing on skin cancer at 11.15 am, Tuesday May 4, 2010, Members Dining Room, Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly. *Photo/Filming Op of Minister being checked for skin cancer.
The screening event begins at 10 am and runs to 1 pm. MLAs and staff are participating in this fully booked event.

Minister McMorris will have a skin cancer screening (Photo/Filming Op, then private screening).
Skin cancer briefing by Dr. Roberta McKay, regional director of the Canadian Dermatology Association's Sun Awareness program, and Minister Don McMorris.
10 am to 1 pm Skin cancer screening event open to MLAs and staff.

- Dr. Roberta McKay will be at the 10 am to 1 pm screening session and available for interviews. - Skin cancer stats, fact sheets, and digital images.
