CIBC thanks clients for helping create a future without breast cancer
TORONTO, Sept. 23, 2015 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) is marking Client Appreciation Day in branches across Canada by donating $1 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure for every client who makes an eDeposit on Friday, Sept. 25.
"We're extending a heartfelt 'thank you' to our clients as we continue to make banking easier, more personalized and flexible," says Christina Kramer, CIBC's Executive Vice President and Executive Run Sponsor. "With the CIBC Run for the Cure right around the corner on Sunday, Oct. 4, CIBC will donate $1 for every client who makes an eDeposit this Friday in appreciation of our clients' long-time support in creating a future without breast cancer."
For the past 19 years, CIBC has been the title sponsor of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure, helping the more than 25,000 Canadians expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone. "We're very grateful to our clients for being part of our journey in supporting this very important cause for nearly 20 years," adds Ms. Kramer.
Canadians can also contribute by adding an inspirational message or honour a loved one on the Wall of Hope, presented by CIBC by visiting any CIBC branch, online or at any Run Site. All donations go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. CIBC encourages Canadians to share their CIBC Run for the Cure photos and stories on social media using #CIBCRunfortheCure.
CIBC introduced eDeposit to Canadians in 2013, the first among the Big 5 Canadian banks to provide an easy way for clients to deposit cheques by simply taking a photo of the cheque and depositing it with a mobile device via the CIBC Mobile Banking App that's available on iPhone and Android platforms.
