Daily Bread's Growing for Change community garden, a joint project between Daily Bread and LAMP, opens May 9 for its sixth growing season! Daily Bread's garden grows organic fruits, herbs and vegetables for Daily Bread's onsite food bank. Last year, over 1200 pounds of nutritious, fresh food was grown and delivered to people struggling with hunger. |

Volunteers will be helping prepare the garden for the growing season with donated compost, as well as planting two more apples trees in Daily Bread's small orchard. Compost and apple trees have been generously donated by the Compost Council of Canada. |
