HALIFAX, May 26, 2016 /CNW/ - Design Engineering magazine, Canada's only B2B publication for Canadian mechanical engineers and OEM design leaders, announced that it will bring its successful table-top tradeshow, the Design Engineering Expo (DEX), to Dartmouth, N.S.
Scheduled for June 7, 2016 at the Dartmouth Sportplex, the one-day show provides a forum for face-to-face interactions where engineers, product developers, machine builders and systems integrators can discuss, network, solicit advice and 'kick the tires' on the latest technologies and applications from the Shipbuilding, Automotive, Defense, Machine Building, Medical, Metal Fabrication, Packaging, and Power Generation industries.
In addition to a line up of industrial products and technology exhibitors, DEX Halifax will feature keynote speaker, Steve Snider, GM and CEO of Halifax Harbour Bridges (HHB). Responsible for overall administration of the Angus L. Macdonald and A. Murray MacKay bridges, Mr. Snider is currently overseeing the Big Lift project to replace the suspended spans of the bridge in an effort to extend its lifespan and reduce maintenance. He will share some details of the project, its current status, as well as the successes and challenges he's encountered along the way.
This year, the show will be co-located with the Metalworking Manufacturing & Production Expo. Employing the same efficient tabletop format, MMP Expo will attract regional manufacturers and job shops, as well as maintenance, tool rooms, automotive, aerospace, energy and resources, medical manufacturing, transportation and tool-die moldmaking attendees.
