TORONTO, June 16, 2014 /CNW/ - Are you concerned about the environment? Looking to become a more eco-friendly driver? Investigating the latest plug-in, hybrid or fully electric vehicles? Thinking about trying a different mode of transportation?
The answers are at the ECO-WHEELS SHOW presented by CAA South Central Ontario (CAA SCO) on June 21, 2014. Come find out what's new in green transportation. "Look, Touch, Ride" eco-friendly cars, scooters, electric bicycles, and see the latest accessories and high-tech gear. All come together in a FREE event, now in its fifth exciting year!
Visit CAA SCO's Autogreen booth, enter the Autogreen Challenge, and learn some great eco-driving techniques. "Small, simple changes in driving behaviours have positive, measurable and meaningful results for our environment," said Teresa Di Felice, Director of Government & Community Relations and Driver Training, for CAA SCO. Research shows that for every 45 kg. of excess weight, fuel consumption can increase by about 2 per cent.
"Simply removing excess weight from your vehicle such as roof racks and items from your trunk can save you considerable amounts of money and gas in the long run," added Di Felice.
Toyota Canada will also be offering an opportunity for attendees to experience Hybrid technology first hand by test driving a 2014 Prius, Prius C and Prius Plug-in, on the streets of Toronto. Also, don't forget to visit the Toyota booth, which will showcase vehicles in the growing Prius Family.
