About
Alternatives is a solidarity organization that works to achieve justice and fairness in Quebec, the rest of Canada and around the world. Since 2003, Alternatives' Feeding Citizenship project has been exploring new ways of interacting with the built and urban environment and the food cycle in order to green our cities and make our communities healthier. The Feeding Citizenship project encourages citizen participation in the creation of new green, edible and community spaces.
Montréal Space for Life is made up of four attractions on the same site: the Biodôme, Insectarium, Jardin botanique and Planétarium Rio Tinto Alcan. These four prestigious municipal institutions form Canada's largest natural science museum complex. Together, they are launching a daring, creative urban movement, urging everyone to rethink the connection between humankind and nature and cultivate a new way of living.
