OTTAWA, Oct. 14, 2016 /CNW/ - Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) is bringing the Shake Zone to the Nation's Capital! Shake Zone is IBC's portable earthquake simulator that simulates a magnitude 8.0 earthquake to raise awareness about the importance of being prepared for an emergency.
The Ottawa – Montreal – Quebec City corridor and southwestern British Columbia are the most vulnerable regions in Canada to a large destructive earthquake. As a partner in emergency preparedness, IBC both educates in advance and deploys when natural disasters strike. Please join us to learn proper safety techniques at the IBC Shake Zone on October 17 and 18.
IBC personnel will be on-hand for media interviews in both official languages.
