Street food and culture on the biggest terrace in town
MONTREAL, June 1, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The second edition of First Fridays is around the corner. On June 3rd between 4pm and 11pm, more than 50 foodtrucks will be back on the Esplanade Financière Sun Life of the olympic park. As the monthly rendez-vous for Montreal foodies, First Fridays are also a great way to discover new cultural talents. Several craftspeople from Montréal-Est will be there for an artisan market. Four music scenes presented by Sirius XM will feature some of the newest musicians in Montreal.
Watch out for ephemeral art installations as well.
«Our mission is to spotlight Montreal-Est and the cultural aspect of the even has become an important element of our programmation this year. Of course street food will be there, but we'll also focus on music and our resident-artist Manuel Bujold has some surprises in store for each edition, from now until October.» says Guy Vincent Melo founder of the Association des restaurateurs de rue du Québec (ARRQ)
Celebrating summer
First Fridays proudly say they offer the largest terrace in Montreal. More than 2000 seats will be available thanks to some colorful tables and stools inspired by Asian street food culture. The brand new Mill Street Bier Garten inspired by German taverns with a subtle and luminous decoration, the Cidrerie Minot, as well as the Pays d'Oc IGP wine bar will also be there to quench the thirst of our guests.
And as always, entrance is free!
The ARRQ would like to thank its partners Zeste and Le Journal Métro.
