STORY SUMMARY: On Wednesday, September, 4, 2013, Prostate Cancer Canada (PCC) will release new recommendations for prostate cancer testing in Canada to ensure men and their families receive clarity around the use of the PSA test. In addition, results from a new poll of Canadian men reveal their knowledge of the disease and desire to be tested.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer to affect Canadian men, impacting one in seven men over the course of their lifetime. Prostate Cancer Canada funds critical programs related to awareness and public education, advocacy, support of those affected, and research into the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of prostate cancer.
