CORNWALL, ON, Nov. 13, 2014 /CNW/ - In celebration of opening its new Cornwall store, Future Shop invites both media and the community to attend the grand opening weekend from November 21^st – November 23^rd. To mark this special occasion, a ribbon cutting with local dignitaries will take place and things will heat up inside the Future Shop food truck with appearances by Food Network's Top Chef Canada Season Four winner Chef René Rodriguez.

Future Shop will be sharing exclusive promotions and hot sales all weekend long to celebrate the grand opening of this new small-concept Cornwall store. Measuring approximately 8,000 sq. ft., the Cornwall Future Shop represents a revolution of the small format store that focuses on providing unparalleled integration between in-store and online, and a seamless customer experience.

9:50 a.m. – Ribbon cutting to mark the store opening with dignitaries, including:

• Boys and Girls Club of Cornwall Executive Director Jacquie Richards
• Acting Mayor of Cornwall Denis Carr
• Children from the Boys and Girls Club
• Future Shop Cornwall GM Nick Karlis
• Food Network's Top Chef Canada Season Four Winner and owner of Navarra Restaurant in Ottawa, Chef René Rodriguez.

10:00 a.m. – Doors to Future Shop Cornwall open; gift cards are issued to the first 100 customers in line.

Location: Boys and Girls Clubs of Cornwall, 506 First St. W. (at Marlborough St. N.)
2:30 p.m. – Visit by the Chef René Rodriguez in the Future Shop food truck to the local Boys and Girls Clubs as they meet with Chef René for a cooking demo using small appliances of after-school snacks.

Saturday, November 22
Location: Cornwall Future Shop, Brookdale Square, 501 Tollgate Rd. W. (at Brookdale Ave.)
11:00 a.m. – 2:00p.m. – Chef René returns to store to serve food to customers from the Future Shop food truck.
