TORONTO, Nov. 25 /CNW/ - The first Take Action for the Kids Auction will raise funds to help children born with a broken immune system.
The auction runs Nov. 15, 2010 to Feb. 12, 2011 with items added and closed every ten days, so check back often. You can support the CI Society by bidding on great prizes at www.cisociety.com
Prizes include: Dancing with the Stars workshop passes, Shiseido Gift Baskets, Jewelry, Metric Band autographed merchandise, Buffalo World Juniors Tickets, stays at the King Edward Hotel, Karen Kain autographed photo with recently published Nutcracker Story, Blu-ray DVD player, Mike Komisarek signed puck, Jungle Cat World Family Day Pass, Lord of the Rings Series Hardcover Book, Joyous Health-Wellness package, Fionn MacCool's cocktail party for 10, Ron Korb CD, tickets to events, theatre, and gift certificates such as $400 for Closet and Storage Concepts. All items have been 100% donated by generous sponsors.

All funds go to the CI Society (a Canadian registered charity #87276 0897 RR0001) to help provide patient support, education and research for a cure for Primary Immunodeficiency Disease. Individuals born with a broken immune system suffer from extended periods of illness and life threatening infections. The most severe form is commonly called the "Bubble Boy" disease. Primary Immunodeficiency Disease has over 150 different forms recognized by the World Health Organization and is estimated to affect approximately 13,000 Canadians.
