OAKVILLE, ON, Dec. 12, 2014 /CNW/ - Canada's first and largest charity polar bear dip celebrates 30 years of splashes, screams and smiles. Hundreds of Canadians of all ages will kick off the New Year running into the cold water of Lake Ontario at the Courage Polar Bear Dip. It also marks the 20th anniversary of partnering with World Vision Canada for clean water projects around the world.

This year's #polarbeardip in Oakville will attract thousands of spectators, and benefit countless more around the world. The Courage Polar Bear Dip sees hundreds of dippers of all ages, from as young as four, all the way up to 76-years-old, taking part in the craziness of the day.
Who: Almost 1,000 people expected from across the GTA and Golden Horseshoe , including dip founders Todd & Trent Courage, cheered on by thousands of spectators in a fun, family-friendly, festival atmosphere.
What: Waves of people will brave frigid waters of Lake Ontario against the backdrop of a festival that includes live music and a costume contest.
When: January 1, 2015-festivities start at 12:30 p.m., dip at 2 p.m.
