Program trains law enforcement officers investigating vehicle related crime
ST. JOHN'S, April 22, 2016 /CNW/ - Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) is hosting a two-day training session in St. John's to teach law enforcement officers from across the province how to investigate auto theft and fraud.
Insurance fraud is a serious problem costing Canadians over a $1 billion a year in wasted resources and systemic abuse.
Amanda Dean, Vice-President, Atlantic, IBC, and Guy Ouellette, Investigator, Auto Theft, IBC, will be available to the media throughout the day to discuss the award-winning Provincial Auto Theft Network (PATNET) program and how it has successfully brought together the law enforcement community to reduce auto theft and fraud.
