/R E P E A T -- Île des Sœurs Bridge: concrete slab repair work planned for this weekend (December 7 & 8)/ Français
LONGUEUIL, QC, Dec. 3, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) would like to advise road users that concrete slab repair work will continue on the Île des Sœurs Bridge during the weekend in anticipation of the coming winter season.
The work will take place starting on Friday, 10 p.m. at night until Monday, 5 a.m. in the morning, on the weekend of December 7 & 8 (see the detailed configuration below).
Two lanes will be kept open to traffic in each direction during the day, but only one lane, whose width will be reduced to three metres, will be open at night towards Montreal.
During this period, traffic may be heavier to access Montreal by the A-15 from the Champlain Bridge as well as to access the Champlain Bridge from the Turcot Interchange.
Road users are encouraged to favour the Bonaventure Expressway to access the Champlain Bridge or the island of Montreal for the entire weekend.
The access ramp from île des Soeurs to the A-15 North and Exit 60 of A-15 North towards Verdun and Downtown Montreal will also be closed at night during the time periods indicated below. The other access and exits for île des Soeurs will remain open during the weekend.
