MONTREAL, March 15, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to attend the Opening Plenary Session of AMERICANA 2013, the International Environmental Technology Trade Show and Conference, organized by Réseau Environnement, on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 8:30 a.m., at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
This 10th biennial edition of AMERICANA will gather some 10,000 participants from all around the world and welcome Belgium as the Country of Honour. The regions of Brussels-Capital, Flanders and Wallonia will proudly showcase Belgium's environmental expertise as part of a major delegation of companies and experts.
Canada's Minister of the Environment, Peter Kent, the Minister President of the Government of Flanders, Kris Peeters, Quebec's Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment, Wildlife and Parks, Yves-François Blanchet, as well as the Minister for Industrial Policy and the Banque de développement économique du Québec, Élaine Zakaïb, will be participating in AMERICANA's Opening Plenary Session. AMERICANA will unfold from March 19 to 21.
Over the course of these three days, more than 250 speakers will discuss major current issues concerning environmental technologies and sustainable development. Close to 350 exhibitors will also be on hand to showcase their expertise. Moreover, 650 international business meetings are scheduled between international buyers, major contract givers, qualified suppliers and distributors.
