MONTREAL, Feb. 24, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - The Canadian Cancer Society invites the media to the Canadian Cancer Society's Great Spin, a spinning activity that raises money to fight cancer during which cyclists GIVE IT ALL THEY'VE GOT!

- Nadège St-Philippe, weather presenter on TVA, colorectal cancer survivor and spokesperson for the Great Spin will join cyclists and give it all she's got from noon to 1:00 pm. She will also announce the results for the event.
- Cancer survivors, a researcher and a CCS representative will be available for media interviews.
- Cameramen and photographers will be able to record footage or take photographs.
- Alone or as a team, participants will be spinning for four hours. They will be led by a trainer and encouraged by energetic music with the support of volunteers.
In 2017, 12 Canadian Cancer Society Great Spin events have been planned at various Quebec venues. Some 900 participants will raise $275,000. In DDO, the goal is to raise at least $20,000. Some 60 cycling fans will participate. |
