OTTAWA, April 13, 2016 /CNW/ - Every year, since 2010, Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP Veterans motorcycle enthusiasts have been invited to participate in the National Memorial Ride (NMR) which is held on the first Sunday in June at the National Military Cemetery at Beechwood, the National Cemetery of Canada in Ottawa.
"The NMR is the only sanctioned event for motorcycle enthusiasts that wish to pay their respects to our deceased military Veterans at the National Military Cemetery," says Dominion President of The Royal Canadian Legion, Tom Eagles. "This is the first year the Legion will be hosting this event and we hope to see a big crowd participate to honour the Fallen," adds Eagles.
People interested in participating in the National Memorial Ride scheduled for Sunday June 5th are asked to visit the NMR website for information and to register: http://www.legion.ca/honour-remember/national-memorial-ride/
