MONTRÉAL, May 6, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - There's no shortage of activities and things to do at Parc Jean-Drapeau on the long holiday weekend of May 16-18. Easy to get to by subway, bike or car, the Parc is a great place to enjoy the nice weather and go with family or friends to play sports, visit a museum, do some hiking or simply to have a picnic in a completely natural setting!

Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve 
4.361 kilometres long, Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve is the ideal spot to do some sporting activities, whether you're a cyclist, runner or inline skating enthusiast. And the one-of-a-kind view of downtown Montréal and the Saint Lawrence River will be a source of inspiration for many!

Opening of La Ronde
Are you a fan of spine-tingling thrills? La Ronde opens on Saturday, May 16 and will be in operation for the entire long weekend. New to La Ronde this year is Maison Rouge, a labyrinth of terror that is accessible without any additional charge. Maison Rouge adds to the 40 rides and attractions featured at La Ronde, the only amusement park of its kind in the province.

Two Piknic Électronik this weekend
Marking the return of the summer season, there will be Piknic Électronik events, on Sunday, May 17 and holiday Monday, the 18^th. That's twice the fun dancing to the electro beats under Alexander Calder's L'Homme sculpture, with Mano Le Tough and Maya Jane Coles, among others, providing the music.  

Exhibition of weapons and legends at the Stewart Museum
The D'Artagnan, Al Capone and the others – Weapons and Legends exhibition features real and fictional characters such as Don Quichotte, Lucky Luke, Blackbeard, James Bond, Che Guevara and many more, along with their weapons that have captured our collective imagination. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Guided tour The Lower Canada Rebellion at the Stewart Museum
On May 17, on the occasion of the Journée nationale des Patriotes, under the theme "Woven into the fabric of the Country", immerse yourself into the atmosphere of old buildings, imposing witnesses of this historic episode, where left the British soldiers involved in the conflict with the patriots insurgents. Free guided tour in English at 11 a.m. on reservation.
