Union and TD's collaborative summer market to launch with an opening day of festivities on June 27th, on Sir John A. Macdonald Plaza
TORONTO, June 21, 2016 /CNW/ - Mayor John Tory will launch Union Summer by unveiling a 26-foot, brightly coloured, three-dimensional #unionsummer sign on Monday, which will decorate Union Station's Sir John A. Macdonald ("SJAM") Plaza for the duration of the festival.
The official opening of the collaborative 71-day summer market, co-presented by Union and TD Bank Group, will be on June 27th at 11:00 am. The short ceremony will take place at the iconic train station, outside on the plaza facing Front Street.
Following the unveiling, guests will get a sneak peak of some of the vibrant artists, courtesy of TD's community partners, who will be performing at the SJAM Plaza in the weeks to come. Visionary eats from some of the city's most forward-thinking food vendors will be available from 7am-9pm on weekdays, and 11am to sunset on weekends.
