MONTRÉAL, May 23, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - ABB will inaugurate its new high-tech centre in Montréal on May 24, 2017. The Honourable Bill Morneau, Minister of Finance, Government of Canada, Jean-Marc Fournier, Minister responsible for Canadian Relations and the Canadian Francophonie, Government of Québec House Leader and member for Saint-Laurent and Alan DeSousa, Borough Mayor of Saint-Laurent will join Ulrich Spiesshofer, President and Chief Executive Officer, ABB, Greg Scheu, President, ABB Americas, Nathalie Pilon, President, ABB Canada and industry and business representatives to mark the opening of this ultra-modern campus.
The campus will house the company's Canadian headquarters as well as all research and development, manufacturing, assembly and testing activities of ABB's energy value chain in Québec. Designated as a global centre of excellence for electric mobility, this new ABB facility will contribute to the Canadian innovation ecosystem and help strengthen Montréal's leadership in transport electrification.

Photo ops: Officials touring ABB's new Customer Innovation Centre, which showcases state-of-the-art technology that is contributing to the advancement of the hydro, solar, wind, oil and gas, mining, robotics and e-mobility industries.
