OTTAWA, June 5, 2012 /CNW/ - Canada's Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (Rx&D) is hosting a fundraising event with The Right Honourable Brian Mulroney, Prime Minister of Canada (1984-1993), with net proceeds from the evening benefitting Rx&D's Health Research Foundation (HRF).
2012 marks the 25th anniversary of the Mulroney Government's visionary intellectual property improvements which ushered in an era of growth for Canada's research-based pharmaceutical companies and, more importantly, advancements in research, discovery and innovation that continue to benefit Canadians and our healthcare system today. Mr. Mulroney will offer insightful observations on the potential for Canada to become a global leader in life sciences over the next 25 years.
