LONGUEUIL, QC, Aug. 17, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Canada's newest astronaut candidates, LCol Joshua Kutryk and Dr. Jenni Sidey, are now ready to begin their basic astronaut training alongside their American colleagues as part of NASA's 2017 Astronaut Class at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
On Tuesday, August 22, they will participate in a conversation with the Expedition 52 crew members, who are currently working and living aboard the International Space Station (ISS). The conversation, which will be broadcast on NASA Television, will immediately be followed by a news conference.
Canadian media are invited to participate in the news conference by telephone. There will be a few brief opportunities for individual interviews with LCol Kutryk, Dr. Sidey, and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, who is the NASA Astronaut Class supervisor.
