Background:
The Al Shamal Shriners' Oriental Band gives generously to the GRHF. These donations support enhancements for the leading-edge care children receive at the GRH. Children treated at the GRH require intensive tertiary rehabilitation services following brain injury, orthopaedic surgery, trauma, spinal cord injury or burns.
The GRH also offers School Rehabilitation Services (SRS), which provide short-term intensive treatment to children in Kindergarten to Grade 3 with complex learning needs. The SRS staff work with parents to help them better understand the therapeutic and educational needs of their child, while also supporting community teachers in programming for the special needs of children in transition from the Glenrose to their community school.
About the GRHF:
The Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation provides financial support to enhance patient care at Alberta Health Services' Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. The Foundation's work includes fundraising for new capital projects, innovative technology, state-of-the-art equipment and leading-edge rehabilitation research and education.
