/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - CMHC Gingerbread House Competition to
support Habitat for Humanity National Capital Region/

OTTAWA , Dec. 4 /CNW Telbec/ - Ed Komarnicki, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development and to the Minister of Labour, along with Karen Kinsley , President of CMHC, Donna Hicks , CEO of Habitat for Humanity National Capital Region (NCR) and Melissa Clark , President of Habitat for Humanity NCR's Board of Directors will announce the winners of CMHC's eighth-annual charity gingerbread house competition on December 4, 2009 .

Local media teams will kick-off the weekend fundraiser with a live gingerbread build competition. Separate designs competitions will be held for local businesses, bakeries, culinary institutes, restaurants and amateurs. The gingerbread homes will be on display all weekend and sold on-site through a silent auction.

All proceeds raised will contribute to Habitat for Humanity's efforts to build homes in the National Capital area.
