OTTAWA, Oct. 17, 2018 /CNW/ - Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) will release its 2018 Mortgage Consumer Survey on Thursday, October 18th at 11:00 am Eastern.
The MCS is the largest survey of its kind and provides insight into the behaviours, attitudes and expectations of Canadians when they acquire, renew or refinance a mortgage. It gives mortgage consumers ideas on how to work through the mortgage shopping process and provides mortgage professionals with the necessary tools to better serve their clients.
The 2018 MCS was completed in April and surveyed 4,000 recent mortgage consumers, all prime household decision makers who had undertaken a mortgage transaction in the past 12 months. It will be available here.
CMHC helps Canadians meet their housing needs. As Canada's authority on housing, we contribute to the stability of the housing market and financial system, provide support for Canadians in housing need, and offer objective housing research and advice to Canadian governments, consumers and the housing industry. Prudent risk management, strong corporate governance and transparency are cornerstones of our operations.
