MONTREAL, Sept. 2, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Hundreds upon hundreds of unionized employees at Concordia University have been working without a collective agreement for years. They will demonstrate on Tuesday, September 3rd as classes begin to tell the University's administrators that it's time to close the deal.
The people who make up the backbone of the university—library workers, support staff, part-time faculty, technicians, professionals and tradespeople—have not had a salary increase for up to five years, but the cost of living goes up every year. Their unions want to ensure that their members do not lose their purchasing power.
