OTTAWA-GATINEAU, July 20, 2015 /CNW/ - On Wednesday July 22, 2015, a media lock-up will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC)'s head office, following the review of wholesale services framework associated policies.
During the lock-up session, experts in the subject matter will provide a technical briefing to explain the different elements of the decision.
The Chairman of the CRTC will be available for one-on-one interviews following the lock-up. The interviews will be pre-scheduled and agreed upon availability.
Any parties interested in attending the lock-up and/or conducting an interview with the Chairman are asked to contact Media Relations at 819-997-9403 or [email protected] by July 21 at 5:00 p.m. Due to space constraints, only one reporter is allowed per news organization. All participants will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement upon arrival. No one will be permitted to leave the lock-up before 4:00 p.m.
For media outlets interested in setting up camera equipment and lines, please contact us to make advance arrangements. Cameras are not allowed in the designated room before the lock up ends. Cellphones, smartphones, wireless handheld devices, 3G tablets (e.g., iPad), pagers, etc. must be left with the CRTC staff. Owners of laptops and Wi-Fi-only tablets must disable wireless capabilities prior to arriving at the CRTC. Telephone lines and Internet access will be available at the end of the lock-up.
The decision will be posted on the CRTC website www.crtc.gc.ca at 4:00 p.m. on July 22, 2015
