ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This annual event was inspired by nine-year-old Alex Weber after learning that thousands of children die every day from water-borne illnesses. Alex has since moved abroad with his family, but his commitment to Wheels for Wells continues with Calgary residents Sarah Fillier and David Custer continuing his commitment to engaging Canadians in this important issue. Wheels for Wells has raised more than $137,000 for World Vision's clean water projects in Kenya, Mauritania and Somalia. This year Wheels for Wells hopes to raise $50,000 for World Vision clean water projects in Sudan.
