OTTAWA, Jan. 14, 2016 /CNW/ - The Honourable MaryAnn Mihychuk, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, will attend the Employment Ministerial and Policy Forum, organized by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), in Paris, France, on January 14 and 15.
During the Forum, Minister Mihychuk will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with other ministers from OECD countries and international organizations, and discuss new policy initiatives, including Canada's focus on creating more jobs and better opportunities for young Canadians, improving the Employment Insurance system to better align it with the realities of today's labour market, and increasing workers' access to good-quality job training.
She will also engage with international experts on the impact of digitisation on the future of work.
Minister Mihychuk will be available for one-on-one interviews with media following the meeting.
