City officials, customers, media and staff are invited to visit the unique site – a boon for the city
EDMONTON, May 30, 2017 /CNW/ - Matthias Altendorf, Global CEO of Endress+Hauser (The People for Process Automation), joins his colleagues Anthony Varga, General Manager, Canada, Todd Lucey, Sales Director, North America, and Geoff Watson, Western Canada Regional Sales Manager, in extending a cordial invitation to Edmonton-area media to the official grand opening celebration of its leading-edge customer training & support centre.
Commenced in 2015 and completed in late 2016, the facility represents a total investment of $12 million and currently employs a staff of 23. In addition, the facility expects to contribute to the development of a skilled and growing regional workforce thanks to its unique process training unit (PTU). The PTU is a "mini process plant" that provides customers across diverse industries with a hands-on training experience that simulates real-life process conditions. The company expects to train up to 240 workers per year at the facility.
The Endress+Hauser family, whose company is made up of more than 13,000 employees around the globe, currently employs 134 Canadians and is a world leader in measurement instrumentation technology for process industries.
