/R E P E A T -- MEDIA ADVISORY - Fête de la famille in Laval - COME MEET SAM
CHICOTTE, KABOUM AND TACTIK/
LAVAL, QC, Sept. 3 /CNW Telbec/ - The Ville de Laval invites the media to the 11th edition of the Fête de la famille, taking place on Sunday, September 5, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Centre de la nature, 901 Avenue du Parc, Laval. Gilles Vaillancourt, Laval's mayor, will be on site from noon to 2 p.m.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Centre de la nature will be transformed into a giant playground for people of all ages. This year's highlights include appearances on the Télé-Québec stage by Sam, Edgar and Alice from Sam Chicotte, Gyorg and Geyser from Kaboum, and Abeille, Carl and Mikaël from Tactik (for each show, 10 winners and their friends will have the opportunity to meet their idols in an exclusive autograph session), four ziplines, a village just for kids, medieval tournaments, and a performance by Élage Diouf, a Senegalese artist who will present his version of African and reggae rhythms. Along with these surprises, popular activities from previous years will also be back: shows, activities, inflatables, the X-Zone for teens aged 12 to 16 and, of course, the giant corn feast, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Red Cross.
All of the activities are free, as is parking. Families are encouraged to use public transit and take advantage of the Société de transport de Laval's weekend family fare. New this year: the STL is providing free shuttle service in the Centre de la nature sector. Why not take advantage of it!
