/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - FSCO and Toronto Police Service Kick Off Financial Literacy Month at Humber College/

TORONTO, Nov. 4, 2015 /CNW/ - The Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) is partnering with Toronto Police Service to kick off Financial Literacy Month on Thursday, November 5, 2015.

Deputy Mayor Vincent Crisanti (Ward 1 Etobicoke North), Toronto Police Service Superintendent Ronald Taverner, Toronto Financial Crimes Unit Detective Gail Regan, and FSCO Director of Strategic Communications Jenna LeBlanc will talk to Humber College students about the importance of financial literacy and provide them with tips for strengthening their financial well-being.

Students will also have the opportunity to learn more about financial literacy at booths within Humber College's Student Centre staffed by representatives from the Bank of Canada, FSCO, the Insurance Bureau of Canada, the Real Estate Council of Ontario, and Toronto Police Service. Students can follow the event online through the #FinLit4U hashtag.
