OTTAWA, Oct. 10, 2017 /CNW/ - Join Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Jim Carr, as he hosts the Generation Energy Forum from October 11 to 12, 2017, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
More than 600 people — from youth to industry, academic, Indigenous and community leaders — will come together in Winnipeg to explore Canada's path to affordable energy, the next generation in technology and innovation, energy governance and Canada's role in the global energy transition.
Keynote speakers at the Forum will include international energy experts, such as:
- Jeremy Rifkin — President, Foundation on Economic Trends and Advisor to the European Union;
- Fatih Birol — Executive Director, International Energy Agency;
- Eldar Saetre — Chief Executive Officer, Statoil Global;
- Annette Verschuren — Founder and Chief Executive Officer, NRStor; and
- Elyse Allan — President and Chief Executive Officer, GE Canada.
Minister Carr and keynote speakers will be available for on-site interviews.
