/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - Government of Canada recognizes the second anniversary of the Oceans Protection Plan with Canadian Coast Guard water simulations/ Français
OTTAWA, Nov. 6, 2018 /CNW/ - The Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, along with the Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, and the Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, will participate in Canadian Coast Guard water simulations on the Ottawa River.
The exercises are in recognition of the second anniversary of the Oceans Protection Plan that improves marine safety and responsible shipping, protects Canada's marine environment, and offers new possibilities for Indigenous and coastal communities.
The Ministers will be available to speak to the media following the simulations.
