/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - Honda celebrates the start of mass production of the 2012 CR-V here in Canada/
ALLISTON, ON, Jan. 16, 2012 /CNW/ - Honda of Canada Mfg. (HCM) is celebrating the start of mass production for the fourth-generation Honda CR-V in Alliston, Ontario on January 23, 2012.
This is the first time Honda will be producing the CR-V at its Alliston facility. With the addition of the CR-V, Honda will now be manufacturing its top two best-selling Canadian vehicles, Civic and CR-V, here in Canada. Starting in 2012, it is expected that 70 per cent of Honda vehicles sold in Canada will be built in Canada.
The inclusion of the CR-V in HCM's production lineup makes HCM Plant 2 the first Honda plant in North America to produce four distinct models on one line, a demonstration of the flexibility and capability of HCM and its Associates.
