Operation Red Nose teams up with Insurance Bureau of Canada to combat
impaired driving this holiday season/

HALIFAX , Nov. 10 /CNW/ - Operation Red Nose, in collaboration with its provincial sponsor, Insurance Bureau of Canada , are joining forces to help keep Nova Scotia roads safer during the holiday season.

Operation Red Nose is a free designated driver service that is run by hundreds of volunteers who provide a safe ride home to holiday revellers in their own vehicles.

At a news conference to be held on Thursday, November 12 at 10:30 am , Don Spicer of the Halifax Regional Police and Insp. Joanne Crampton of the Halifax detachment of the RCMP, Corinne MacLellan, Halifax Operation Red Nose coordinator, NSLC VP Rick Perkins , the Hon. Minister of Transportation Infrastructure Renewal, Bill Estabrooks and Bill Adams , Vice-President, Atlantic, IBC, will announce details of the 2009 program.
