MONTRÉAL, Aug. 20, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Following a route symbolically linking the former West end "village" to the present day gay village, a contingent of Indigenous Peoples will open the parade while several public personalities from all three levels of government join in on Sunday August 20, starting at noon. Organisers plan a spectacular top off to the 11-day celebrations of Canada Pride Montréal 2017 with one of this year's most popular and colorful parades, reflecting the sexual diversity and gender plurality of Montréal, Quebec and Canada. Among the personalities in attendance will be the Prime Minister of Canada, the Irish Taoiseach, the Premier of Quebec, the Mayor of Montréal and representatives of participating Indigenous Peoples.
